In 2018, the team successfully introduced the pioneering neobank, Space, in Georgia. Building upon this success, subsequent efforts were directed towards the creation and launch of the fully digital bank in Uzbekistan, TBC UZ, in 2020. In a significant move towards enhancing its foothold in the Uzbek market, the group acquired Payme, a prominent local payments provider and esteemed brand among the Uzbek populace, in 2023.

We are looking for a Credit Fraud Analyst at Space International!

Main responsibilities:
• Monitor credit fraud alerts daily and take necessary action to protect customers and the bank.
• Identify fraud patterns through monitoring of high-risk loan applications, application approvals,
loan disbursements, loan proceed transfers.
• Responsible for the creation of fraud rules by obtaining analytical data to support decisions.
• Implement anti-fraud solutions and systems (fraud crm system, device fingerprinting, etc.)
• Manage and support fraud black lists and fraud registers
• Provide support to the operational and business units of the bank on fraud related matters.
• Regularly prepare reports for the bank’s Risk Management.
• Responsible for maintaining knowledge of fraud situation and fraud schemes in the financial
industry of Uzbekistan/Georgia.
• Report fraud information and findings to the immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
• Develop and implement anti-fraud policies and procedures.
• Actively participate in team meetings, share information and make suggestions for
improvements to fraud operations.
• Work closely with the Credit Risk Team in the development and production of reports to identify
and measure fraud risks in the various loan processes.

Main requirements:
• Bachelor/University degree.
• 2-3 years of analytical experience in credit fraud management; exposure to underwriting, credit
administration, retail lending or operational risk department.
• Understanding of relevant banking regulations.
• Working knowledge of core banking systems, retail loan products and banking processes related
to loans.
• Experience with customer behavioural data analysis and device fingerprint data analysis will be
considered an advantage.

Skills:
• Candidate is expected to have strong computer skills, including but not limited to proficiency in
MS office, analytical ability and competency in SQL query language and working with relational
databases, Python or R.
• Strong analytical skills to detect and identify weaknesses in the bank’s systems and processes
and identify root cause of weaknesses.
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) to conduct investigations and interview
fraudsters and individuals affected by fraudulent individuals.
• Attention to detail and accuracy to factor every piece of information in fraud case investigation.
• Ability to identify opportunities to improve or automate processes.
• Comfortable collaborating with business stakeholders.
