TBC Bank Group PLC established Space International with the strategic aim of facilitating the group's global expansion efforts. In 2018, the team successfully introduced the pioneering neobank, Space, in Georgia. Building upon this success, subsequent efforts were directed towards the creation and launch of the fully digital bank in Uzbekistan, TBC UZ, in 2020. In a significant move towards enhancing its foothold in the Uzbek market, the group acquired Payme, a prominent local payments provider and esteemed brand among the Uzbek populace, in 2023.

Presently, a dedicated team of 1,700 professionals representing 17 nationalities collaborates to advance TBC's international presence. We are looking for Credit Risk Lead at Space International

Main responsibilities:

  • Cooperate with commercial team to develop credit products, define lending process and criteria.
  • Work with the Data Analytics and BI team to develop & automate reports to identify and measure credit risks.
  • Work with the team of Data scientists to develop and implement credit scoring models (application, behavioral, income estimation, etc.).
  • Development of the NPV model.
  • Work with the team of IT BA’s and developers to implement changes in product, decision strategy and scoring.
  • Responsible for Approval rate, portfolio growth and all relevant portfolio risk metrics budget achievement (PAR, COR, NPL, FPD, Roll-rate, etc.).
  • Responsible for risk parameter budgeting and monthly estimations of all relevant portfolio risk metrics.
  • Initiate and lead credit decision strategy and scoring model changes & development.
  • Evaluate profitability of credit products in coordination with fin. dept. of the bank
  • Prepare ad-hoc analytical risk reports and deep dive analysis of various segments of the loan portfolio.
  • Coordinate with Debt Collection Lead and Fraud Lead to ensure portfolio quality targets and other relevant risk KPI’s are achieved.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to retail credit risk management.
  • Develop credit risk policies & frameworks (restructure policy, credit policy, stress testing framework, etc.).
  • Continuous search and analysis of alternative data sources for scoring model and decision making.
  • Contribute to the effective management of all credit risk related issues and opportunities and maintain effective working relationships with team members, and other stakeholders.
  • Guide and lead a team of credit risk professionals.


Main requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree in finance, economics, statistics or a related field, Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in credit risk management, with a focus on retail lending.
  • Strong knowledge of retail credit products and services, including consumer loans, BNPL, car loans (experience with micro business loans will be preferred)
  • Experience developing and implementing credit risk policies and procedures.
  • Strong computer skills: highly proficient in Excel and average competence in SQL select methods. Knowledge of Python (Pandas) will be an advantage.
  • Experience managing a team of credit risk professionals.
