TBC Bank Group PLC established Space International with the strategic aim of facilitating the group's global expansion efforts. In 2018, the team successfully introduced the pioneering neobank, Space, in Georgia. Building upon this success, subsequent efforts were directed towards the creation and launch of the fully digital bank in Uzbekistan, TBC UZ, in 2020. In a significant move towards enhancing its foothold in the Uzbek market, the group acquired Payme, a prominent local payments provider and esteemed brand among the Uzbek populace, in 2023.

Presently, a dedicated team of 1,700 professionals representing 17 nationalities collaborates to advance TBC's international presence. Space International spearheads the provision of cutting-edge technologies and top-tier professional services, while the local teams at Payme and TBC Uzbekistan drive sustained growth and operational excellence.

We are looking for a skilled Observability Engineer to design, implement, and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Grafana, Kibana, Elasticsearch, and Zabbix, ensuring system reliability, performance, and proactive issue resolution.

Primary Focus:

  • Design and implement observability solutions for infrastructure, applications, and services.
  • Configure and manage Grafana dashboards for real-time monitoring and visualization.
  • Deploy and optimize Kibana for log analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Manage and maintain Elasticsearch clusters for efficient log storage and retrieval.
  • Implement and fine-tune Zabbix for infrastructure monitoring and alerting.
  • Develop automated alerting mechanisms to detect performance bottlenecks and anomalies.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and development teams to improve system monitoring and visibility.
  • Optimize query performance and ensure high availability of logging and monitoring tools.
  • Define best practices for log aggregation, retention policies, and anomaly detection.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve observability-related issues efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in observability, monitoring, or site reliability engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Grafana, Kibana, Elasticsearch, and Zabbix.
  • Experience in log aggregation, metric collection, and visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of time-series databases and query languages (PromQL, Elasticsearch Query DSL).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Go for automation.
  • Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Understanding of networking, system performance tuning, and incident management.
  • Experience with alerting frameworks and best practices for proactive monitoring.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Prometheus, Loki, OpenTelemetry, or Fluentd/Fluent Bit.
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices and experience in incident response.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
